Recommended by my protestant friend
Not that I concur with everything Matt has said, but the show has been a blessing in more ways than one. It was actually a protestant friend who recommended it to me. My first dip was the reclaim the month shirt episode, and while I agree that we must, I wasn’t convinced that a proprietary claim will convert hearts. After a long hiatus since the first dip, I found other episodes very engrossing. Matt is good at listening and asking very practical questions from a Catholic’s point of view. The format is also great. At first, some of the 3-hour long episodes made me skeptical. But I now find that I enjoy them a lot because most of the time, the guests really have so much of themselves to impart. 3 hours isn’t enough even, and so the repeat guestings are great! Whether I have become a more intentional follower of our Lord because of the show remains to be seen. But I am pleased to be accompanied - and guess what I’ve purchased a few books because of the show; and hoping to read them with new eyes - Shakespeare, Chesterton, Meyer. May they fall on fertile soil this time - and let this patch of earth in this corner of the world be the Lord’s fruitful vineyard. May the Lord bless you, Matt, your team, and I join you in praying for your wife’s health and wellness. Ad maiorem Dei gloriam.
