“I always listen to Akimbo and Pitchfork Economics. I love the descriptive header for this show: explaining who gets what and why. If you listen to economists, Republicans and Democrats since the 1970’s, and even religious types, you discover the underlying beliefs that government is bad, poor people deserve to be poor, and government budgets are exactly like home budgets. No, no, no. You’ll learn that trickle-down economics benefits a few while middle-out benefits everyone. I used to believe all the ideas I just mentioned. But, I got gently “pitch-forked”. There’s a kinder way. Nick and Goldie and their crew are carrying the torches.”
