“I was really hopeful this podcast would have thoughtful and balanced discussion, but it doesn’t. Derek tries to be the authority on current events, but is extremely biased and often uninformed in his views and discussion. He supports canceling student debt without much discussion of what that means for those who paid off their debt already, or moral hazard for students taking on debt today. He admitted being surprised about the current inflation issue, but anyone who studied economics knew this would happen when the government prints trillions of dollars out of the blue. He predicts working from home is here forever, but as a journalist, he has no idea how challenging it is to manage people.”
