“I am fairly new to caring for and propagating plants. My little plant collection has become a nice, life giving addition to life and family.
I discovered The Plant School podcast and found Rachel to be a tremendous help as I am learning the many hidden secrets plants hold that are just waiting to be uncovered. I have learned about the necessary plant basics as well as some welcomed more in-depth plant nerdery.
From plant and botanist history to carefully researched plant care guides, Rachel provides a rich variety of content that makes listening to her podcast while on a morning walk or commute informational and entertaining. It’s hard to describe how unusually authentic and accessible Rachel is in her podcast. The best way to describe it is that the podcast is like having coffee with a friend who personally shares a love for plants.
Rachel is incredibly articulate, well read and disciplined in her research. Her episodes never come off as pretentious or elitist about plants. She has a humble confidence and a simple humor that is simply refreshing.
As a guy who enjoys plants, I would also recommend this podcast to other men. She is talking to all people and doesn’t assume she is only talking to women.
