“I used to enjoy this show. Recently Michelle posted some really insensitive things on Instagram about slavery and the Holocaust, essentially comparing them to eating meat. Of course I understand she had good intentions. But her inability (after days of largely sensitive comments) to learn from people and to apologize has really turned me off of this whole brand. She’s decided to dig in and declare that she’s Jewish (by marriage by the way.. and also that would never give you permission to make these gross comparisons or to speak for everyone). I’m really not about “canceling” people, but her inability to learn from people of color has made me feel like this is an influence i should do without in my life. And so until I see a change of heart from this group I won’t be listening or following :(”
