Refreshingly original take on the superhero genre!
Playing for Keeps tells the tale of Keepsie Branson, a bar owner with the super power to keep anything she has, and when its hers, NO ONE can take it from her. It may not seem like much of a super power, but in the hands of Mur Lafferty, its written as being absolutely gold. The superb premise of egotistical heroes, villains that aren't what they seem, and normal people with 'lacklustre' gifts is executed with genius, the characters and plot are deep and develop brilliantly, and Mur's reading will have you hooked. Some of the content is highly cringe-worthy, but its forgiveable when the majority is just so outstanding. One of the best podcast novels ever.

Cute and witty story for those who love a good Super Hero (or in this case super hero wanabe) story. These characters have you cheering for them, embarrassed for them, and on their side! A good clean story for those who are looking for lighthearted humor.
