“I’ve listened to Français Authentique since shortly after moving to Belgium in 2015, and after I moved back to the U.S. in 2020 I have continued to listen. This podcast is always fresh with great new content about French language, culture, idioms, and Johann’s varied experiences and interests. I definitely credit this podcast for helping me develop the comprehension skills I was so lacking when I first moved to Brussels.
Now, listening has simply become a part of my regular routine, and I sort of think of Johan as a friend I’ve never actually met in person. I keep coming back because through his content I can feel that Johan is a genuinely kind person whose positive energy really lifts me up, and the Marcher avec Johan episode is something I really look forward to every week.
