Perils of False Equivalency
In an attempt to offer balance to reporting, we have allowed the creeping erosion of public discourse. We accept that to speak one’s mind is tantamount to divinity, giving that right a very real religious parallel — including the unassailability of its content, regardless of its veracity and factual, verifiable nature. This podcast does have a definite perspective, but tempers the opinions (largely) with caveats, offering support for their assertions. Seldom, unless tongue-in-cheek, do they dismiss criticism without conceding the purpose or value of it. The villains of the piece are the “Alt-Wrong”, Neoliberalism (okay, I’m codifying that one myself), narcissism, demagoguery, populism, Libertarianism, and general ignorance of the fact that, like it or lump it, we are all in this together. It’s hard to argue with this broken podcast’s attempt to offer space to think about Canadian politics weekly. Agree or no, taking time is worthwhile.

These folks are amazing people and I loved this episode. Good synergy together.

Could only be made better if the producer was a moose and the sound engineer was a hockey stick. Come for the laughs. Stay for the shocking epiphanies and violent swearing.
