“Whilst interesting list of guests with special internet for those who take special interest in politics around the North, this is curiously softball.
The interviewer ends up agreeing half the time - slightly strange when to hear the “yeah I agree” when a Conservative and hard left guest say the polar opposite weeks apart - but more frustrating is the simple lack of basic follow up or challenge to any political statements. I know they say you catch more flies with honey than vinegar but at some point presumably you want to catch a fly.
So interesting if you want to essentially listen to a press release in podcast but it does rather feel like politics of the “have you anything you wish to tell us Mr Attlee?” vintage.
New host coming down hopefully that will have a bit more political punch and savvy.”
