Ageless thrillers
I still don’t think you can beat Agatha Christie to come up with the goods for a steady thriller-she had an amazing brain to come up with so many goods stories, with their twists turns , as she weaves around the plot, be it murder or theft, always incorporating the lovely old trains ( oh how I miss those trains!) the Big House, Butler or Ladies Maid, whatever Agatha wrote, just as you think it so obvious who the evil character is,she does a final twist of the pen and shows you to be completely wrong all along! With Poirot and the faithful Capt Hastings always by his side, you can guarantee your brain is going to be as confused as Hastings, who always tries to match his little friend’s talent for thinking things through to the conclusion. All set in a difficult age, one many of us, me included would love to live in, I find even the murders to be gentle and quietly dealt with. I can thoroughly recommend these stories for Catching you up quickly and pulling you and your little grey cells into the story from beginning to end, and finishing bemused and smiling. ! Thankyou Agatha for so much pleasure over the years!! 👏🏻👏🏻💐 Enjoy Reader!

More reviews of Poirot Investigates
Although Suchet does an excellent job narrating the stories, there are loud ads that randomly interrupt in an annoying way. You have to decide if it is tolerable or not. I couldn’t finish the series. Such a shame.

I am very much enjoying this podcast, but wanted to let you know that the ending of episode 2 was cut off and instead there are multiple copies of the same advertisement.

Read by David Suchet with all the flourish of his performance in the BBC series. Just a delight to listen to. I hope there will be more
