Too little reliable info to make a valid apparaisal
This is a little strange. I, mostly, enjoy this podcast, but the casters are, in many cases, trying to make something out of nothing. The amount of info on many of the early Popes is very scarce and much of that is of very dubious reliability. Yes, one of the earlier reviews that suggested a combination of some of the early Popes with a dearth of info might have been a good idea, but it probably does take almost as much time and effort to research a Pope with little info as a more available one. OTOH, given the honors bestowed based on almost no info, and the later appearance of some of the most vile humans, ever, as Pope, I wonder how the research will affect their personal views of the Catholic Church.
