“As an avid consumer and processer of all things pop culture, I was so excited to stumble across a new podcast on my favorite subject. And a first episode on my favorite show of all time! So how disappointed I was to suffer through an hour plus of haughty and pretentious commentary. At one point, one of the podcasters even remarked that he "feels superior" to those fans who actually enjoyed the ending of Breaking Bad. It is my sense, having read at least 20 articles on the show's finale, that the vast majority of viewers felt satisfied by the ending. Therefore, to attack unitlaterally--and in such arrogant fashion--this episode likely alienated or will alienate the majority. Perhaps these podcasters are not interested in recruiting new listenership, but rather only in retaining those who liked them from their other podcasts. This new listener will not be tuning in again.”
