Description
Known as the compassionate somatic coach, Marina Yanay-Triner is a trauma informed coach who uses somatic tools and somatic experiencing to help her clients heal from illnesses like ME/CFS. She has a background in conflict transformation, a certificate in integrative somatic trauma therapy and a certification from the Institute for Coaching Mastery.
In this chat, Marina does an amazing job explaining the theories around trauma being stored in the body and how chronic illnesses like ME/CFS and long Covid can result from repressed emotions and childhood experiences. She explains how we can best listen to our bodies, the difference between sensations and emotions, how to honour our emotions and how to take care of ourselves when doing this deep work. Lindsay and Marina talk about why this work is so often necessary, and how inner child work as well as somatic experiencing can help with our healing. They also discuss how to prepare for this work, and the best ways to do trauma healing work depending on where you are at in your journey.
On her website https://marinayt.com , Marina currently offers a free master class on her website called “Treasure’s in the Trigger” as well as 7 free embodiment practices for self-connection. She also has an online course and 1-1 coaching available. Her popular instagram page @Marina.y.t is full of great advice. Her new App Somashare will be out in May and her podcast “Deep Within” is available anywhere you get podcasts.
