Close but not really...
Listened to this pod for quite some time and i am sorry to say that although the guys producing this pod seem to have the best intentions when it comes to bringing you reviews on codecies and good discussions on 40k-philosophy in general it does not make up for their too often lack of understanding when it comes to basic 40k and its meta. I play both fluffy and competitive and i feel that these guys have a poor feel for both. The sound quality and the overall production and selected topics for each episode is really good. However the execution of reviews and their some times rather harsh and accidental (i hope) disinformation absolutey kills what could have been an otherwise enjoyable listening experience. The real problem for me is that new inexperienced players will have trouble sorting out what is flawed in their arguments and get a skewed view of what is decent 40k tactics. And the experienced player just get annoyed when 4 guys just sit in a ring agreeing on stuff that is sometimes blatantly false and dont even bother giving you both sides of the story. They need to have more debate and open up for diffrence of opinion in my view. I know this review seems rather harsh but the reason i wrote it is because this pod got some real potential to be good. I will be checking back and give these guys a second chance because the few times they disagree with eachother and get a good debate going this podcast really shines. Unfortunately those instances are few and far between.

I'd say you guys are on par quality wise with the Independent characters, and that's high praise in my books. Can't wait for more army reviews!

Along with the Independent Characters, this is one of two podcasts that I come back to as a reference point for what's good (and a balanced view of what's not so good) about 40k and those who play it. As a player since Rogue Trader days, this and the ICs seem to capture the spirit of 40k and...Read full review »
