Fun, folksy and a bit on the edge
I listen to lots of health podcasts and get good information from most of them. I generally like the ones where an actual practitioner is moderating a bit more than the lay person hosting. Prescriptions for health fits the bill as Nurse and Doctor Saputo do appear to have direct patient experiences to back up their perception. Admittedly, they tackle things on an overview basis, which doesn't leave a lot of time to dig into some topics (who could in an hour?). I like their back and forth style and they do have the bravery to go after many of our destructive health practices lilke whether flu vaccinations are worth it, and offer some innovations such as vascular stiffness testing for atherosclerosis (which I'm about to try). If you want more in depth reporting about a particular subject, there are probaby other formats that you should try, but this one is fun but also makes you think and question.

Thought was going to be a good podcast until the "nurse" started to suggest conspiracies within healthcare, government, taxation etc. Spoiled it completely. A good podcast on medical health should be based on good and usable information. There are far better podcasts...

Enjoyed the podcast until the nurse started in with her anti tax, anti affordable healthcare, anti government "joke" diatribe...bummer.
