“As someone who lives and breathes football, I’m often disappointed by many of football podcasts out there, from the various banter circuses hosted by TV pundits, to the journalistic ones that try too hard to show they have a deeper insight of tactics and how football works than the average punter.
TPoF does neither. And whilst there’s very little actual football discussed it’s a must listen if you care about the game and worry for its future.
Kevin Day is an excellent choice for presenting, and fulfils his role grandly, whilst
Kieran Maguire is clearly a bit of a polymath when it comes to anything connected to football finances, and he is clearly a top bloke too.
I particularly like his penchant for weaving in mentions of his favourite bands into the discussion. Chapeau for his recent mention of Middleton’s finest, The Chameleons.
