Mitch Marner has signed his new six-year deal with the Toronto Maple Leafs. Jeff and Stephen discuss the contract itself and its implications for the team going forward (0:51). Toronto FC Head Coach Greg Vanney then joins the guys to discuss his club's playoff push after defeating Colorado last night at BMO Field (26:18). In the second hour, Brian Burke graces PTS with his presence in-studio where he shared his thoughts on the Marner deal, the remaining RFAs left to be signed, and the NHLPA declining to re-open the CBA with the National Hockey League (40:14). Following 'Burkie', NFL insider Amy Trask of CBS recaps Sunday's games and specifically the injuries to quarterbacks Drew Brees and Ben Roethlisberger, as well as Antonio Brown's debut with New England (1:10:54). To end off the show, Darren Ferris, the agent for Mitch Marner, spoke about how the deal came about (1:31:07); and Sportsnet.ca's Wayne Scanlan discussed the latest surrounding Senators' owner Eugene Melnyk, and the expectations for the club this season after missing the playoffs in 2018-2019 (1:54:14).
