Brian Tan is currently a Group Support Contractor for the Centre for Effective Altruism (CEA). He is also a co-founder of Effective Altruism Philippines; which now has three local EA student chapters in Ateneo, UP Diliman, and La Salle.
He is also the co-founder of Whitebox Research, a non-profit initiative in Manila which aims to solve open research problems in AI interpretability and develop more AI safety researchers.
He joins the Project Offbeat podcast to talk about the life of an effective altruist and how he came about this unique philosophy.
