Missing Voices
I’ve been following this podcast because I long for an unbiased account on the Israeli-Palestinian conflict from a Christian and biblically informed point of view. It’s good that Christianity Today is addressing this topic, but I’m concerned about missing voices. I haven’t heard much in this podcast from Arabs who live in the West Bank about what life is like for them under Israeli occupation. What are the injustices they have experienced according to their point of view? What is life like for them in Areas A, B, and C? After five episodes we still don’t know. Maybe future episodes will give listeners a chance to hear from those that evangelical Christians rarely ever hear from. “The person who tells one side of a story seems right, until someone else comes and asks questions.” (Proverbs 18:17 NCV)

Mike is great at getting the story of modern Israel told, without getting entangled in angry right or left leaning politics. What this podcast has done to me is develop empathy for a people group who are continually on the brink of an existential crisis. Thanks Mike for all of your work.
