Amidst the multitude of misconceptions that have flooded the church, there are a few every believer in Christ must be set free from especially in this age. The first one is confusing salvation and being Born again, the two are not the same. A man can receive salvation and yet not be born of the spirit of God. This is something that Jesus strongly attested to even when speaking to Nicodemus. This brings us to the second, Ascending and descending. To get a clear picture of what ascension means in-depth we need to understand what descending is in the light that Jesus spoke of because he referred to himself as one of two that had ascended and descended from Heaven in John 3:13 that states for no man hath ascended up to heaven but he that came down from Heaven, even the son of man which is in Heaven.
