Wayne Couzens was a disgrace to the police uniform he wore. Somehow, this sexual deviant managed to secure employment with the Met's elite diplomatic protection squad. He was licenced to kill – and kill he did. Posing as a plainclothes officer, Couzens raped and murdered Sarah Everard after kidnapping her under the guise of an arrest. Couzens erstwhile colleagues were soon onto him. He confessed and on 30 September 2021, a judge told him he'd spend the rest of his life in prison.
