So-So
While there seems to be some good information presented in this podcast; there are several things that have led me to stop listening to it. The main thing that I found incredibly irritating is the compulsion for this guy to impress his personal political views onto his listeners regardless of what the topic is supposed to be. For example, I don’t need to know his thoughts on how the previous presidential administration handled the pandemic. I also don’t need to hear him relate President Trump to a Narcissist, especially when he has not actually met Trump to formally diagnose him and therefore this seems incredibly unprofessional and unethical. He also referred to him as the “former idiot that was running the country” in a different episode and basically said all of his voters were brainwashed. This tells me that he is not tolerant at all of differing world views or political views and makes me believe he enters these diagnostic sessions with clients in a biased way that could influence his diagnoses and recommendations. He further eludes to this being the case when he stated early on that he likes to guess what results of tests will be and see how close he is. Again… this is totally unethical as it may make him more likely to diagnose someone in a certain way just to prove himself right. Other things that have pushed me away from this podcast is the constant banter between he and his wife. It’s horrible to listen to and they don’t always appear to be respectful of each other. They also seem to lack respect for other professionals with differing views. Finally, he doesn’t plan out what he is going to talk about and you can definitely tell. Sometimes he just jumps from topic to topic with no rhyme or reason. He will go from talking about one disorder to a different one then back to the original one and it leaves you questioning why there was a jump in topics at all. All in all.. the delivery is mediocre at best and the content was half-way decent until he decided to get political and show his complete inability to be tolerant of anyone with differing views. This was the deal breaker for me as I find it very important to be able to get along with others and able to discuss differing views without the blatant disrespect this guy demonstrates.

I am new to this podcast, but I already feel so impacted by it. Dr. Corey and his wife make me feel comfortable, valuable, and curiously educated. They communicate efficiently and take away all the stigmas of psychological health in a judge-free environment. If you’ve jumped from podcast to...Read full review »

I really like the topics covered, and like the flow of the episodes. I learn a lot from listening, and enjoying this podcast. However, I do have to say that the noises in the background are sometimes distracting as another listener mentioned. I hear pots clanging and a bunch of other stuff...Read full review »
