Has it been two weeks or three weeks since we last recorded? Jack and Aaron disagree on these numbers (it's been two weeks, but whatever). Still, it doesn't really matter because we are back! Jack is back from Japan, Aaron has left his couch, there's a bunch of interesting TV news worth discussing, Rick Grimes didn't die, and somehow witches are once again all the rage!
NEWS HIGHLIGHTS THIS WEEK:
After Sunday's episode aired, AMC released the news that three "Walking Dead" TV movies are in development aimed at continuing Rick Grimes' story. Vince Gilligan is developing a "Breaking Bad" movie that will allegedly follow the present story of Jesse Pinkman According to SlashFilm, the highly anticipated "Deadwood" movie has begun production with the majority of the original cast returning. HBO is hoping for a spring, 2019 premiere. John Logan, the creator of "Penny Dreadful," is bringing a new installment of the series to Showtime. "Penny Dreadful: City of Angels" will take place in 1938 Los Angeles. THR says it'll be "rooted in the conflict between characters connected to the deity Santa Muerte and others allied with the devil, City of Angels will explore a mix of the supernatural and the combustible reality of that period, creating new occult myths and moral dilemmas within a historical backdrop. The series will feature all new characters and storylines." Andy Bean and Derek Mears will play both sides of the antihero in DC Universe's "Swamp Thing" series.
