Gospel poor
It’s unfortunate. With a platform that reaches vulnerable and hurting people, there could be so much done for the preaching of the Gospel and the restorative truth that abundant grace is our only salvation. Behavior modification, methods, tools, tips all fall short of the Throne of Grace. Emphasizing anything above that is chasing a bandaid, a false hope: ourselves. There’s certainly a place for human practically. But the Gospel should take up the majority of each conversation on this show; right now it’s the occasional supporting actor amidst talks sprinkled with Christian language on this podcast. White knuckling isn’t worth comparing to falling into the arms of Jesus daily (Matthew 5:3). We snack on human level hope when we could be hungering for righteousness and finding fulfillment in Jesus. I’m afraid these talks delay such surrender. Be a self-help podcast if you’d like and many will still be helped. But there’s no need to claim Jesus if He doesn’t have the place of King and Father.

Praise God for this kind of transparency - this is literally saving men and women from brokenness. I only wish I would have found this sooner.
