Reminded me of my African American history class
I took a class at Berea College called African American religious history. As a biology major, I loved my science courses, but that history class was my favorite for a number of reasons. Here’s a couple: I am a white dude from the rural south who grew up in a segregated community in which I had not heard of black history before. Listen, this podcast is not about trying to radicalize you to certain politics (although I am not sure how you can’t get political after hearing it). This podcast is about history and complicating the history narrative that you may have learned (like I did) in the white community.
