Tom and Nikki
I just listened to Tom’s conversation with Nikki Giovani. The word “interview” always falls short when describing Tom’s work. Tom is able it identify and land on the artists’ best, most profound examples of what makes us human. Nikki’s words about being talented and lonely struck a deep chord with me, personally and professionally. I am a therapist and this is the universal longing we all have; to find people who see the gifts we know we have and who have the “same kind of lonely”. These conversations nourish the parts of me that get weak from my work and the world. Thank you Tom.

"Q"
Aside from Fresh Air, Q provides the best in intriguing interviews and varied content for radio! I love it. I'm disabled so podcast radio makes up over 75% of my entertainment and learning. Q is optimistic, and somehow has the qualities of authenticity and joy woven in throughout.

Imagine, I was just thinking to myself the other day that I would love to hear an interview with Rick Mercer- and you did it this week! Thanks for that. Tom is a great host, much preferred over any others, and if I miss the broadcast I now listen to the podcast.

I don't find this show annoying or irratating like some of the previous reviewers. In the last couple months he has had John Cleese, Bill Cosby, Michael Moore and today Tom waits. A good variety of informative and entertaining dialogue.Read full review »
