“After spending almost 7 years covering G Beck; I watched the re-education of his millions of cultists since he was on HLN. If you look at screenames of many Q-cultists, they include 912 and 412. These were the seeds of the tea party and also demonizing our education system, convincing millions to pull their kids out of school and adopt “biblically based education”- AKA a VERY strange marriage of David Barton’s pseudo-Christian reconstruction history and Mormon history. Basically, built on wild, easily disproven, conspiracy theories.
My, have they grown.
Now, I haven’t covered Beck in a long time, but followed much of the transformation of this delusional set of people. I remember telling Victor and writing how it was going to get much, MUCH worse. I was told repeatedly that this “small fringe” would crawl back under their rocks. Instead, they came together and elected the dumbest, most corrupt megalomaniac as their “anointed profit” (sic) sent to save the world from evil.
This period of our history will be debated for many, many years as to whether this mass hysteria/mass psychosis, was caused by rampant drug use, chemical poisoning, biowarfare or alien pod people. Perhaps a combination.
As Reza Aslan so presciently said a few years ago, this CULT behavior becomes most dangerous when they start to splinter or the orange object of their worship does something to disillusion a majority of them. Watching their chats recently, the fact there hasn’t been any proven military tribunals, (I mean, besides the “executions” of McCain and Bush, of course...🙄), some are injecting some heavy-duty occult stuff (numerology, Icke, etc) and the diehard “Christians” aren’t taking well to this, and many splintering off, even forming their own “anon” decoding groups-they ARE splintering, but I’ve noticed them really pushing the “violent leftists bent on destroying us” tropes too. Make no mistake, as hilarious as these people and their wacky “theories” can be-they have a much longer history and much stronger foundation than most give them credit for.
Good work guys! Thanks for taking up the mantle. 😊. I’m getting too old for this crap. I AM still trying to figure out that 3 hour, 2 part, mystical Q-decoding film on YTube that SWEARS “25” is the answer to everything.
