“Guys-
Great concept, 2 brilliant hosts who aren’t afraid to talk it out in the pre-guest section then the guest interview - all good. But when you wrap the guest and that’s the end of the podcast it’s so deflating. What did you both think of them? Learn from them? Observe in each other’s behaviour around the guest? Wishart missteps were made, which questions weren’t asked, what was inspiring to each of you???
There HAS to be a post-guest discussion between the 2 of you …. It’s like you left the dinner table with the guest straight after the entree…you need to deliver dessert to you audience after the guest leaves…
Look at all the best ones….Conan and team have post guest thoughts, Armchair Expert does the fact-check afterwards, Smartlesd has its post-guest chat…. The star of the show is not the guest …. They’re the vehicle for the relationship between you two to bloom…your relationship is what will (hopefully) bring listeners back ….Conan and Sona….Dad and Monica…the Smartless guys … I tune in for them, not the guest.
Complete the podcast!!!!! Sorry - in the biz and gotta point out the golden opportunity you’re missing - and therefore your audience is missing out on too!!”
