“Thank you for this podcast, it woke me up. I thought that my Internet habits were healthy, because I always check the sources, facts, and people’s backgrounds on anything involving science or politics. While listening, I tried to answer the questions in the interviews, and eventually realized that I was watching YouTube to figure out what I want to do in life. Pretending to be ”doing research” was ridiculous avoidance. Although I have learned a lot from videos in the past, the new algorithm seems to be serving up more unaswered questions, turning anxiety into watch time. To anyone who liked this podcast, I would recommend the book An Ugly Truth by S. Frenkel and C. Kang.”
