Season 7: Episode 5: Creating your own unique family as a stepmom with guest, Brent Crandal, children's book author and family psychologist
Description
Christina welcomes Brent Crandal, an author and family psychologist to discuss how the feeling of "family" is formed. As stepmoms, we can often feel like outsiders as we step into an "already established family", but we have to change the belief that there's only one way to "family". Not only does Brent speak from his professional knowledge, but he speaks as a partner to a stepmom. How has he helped facilitate the relationship between her and his kids? What have they done to form their own unique family unit? Listen in!
If you're looking for a book to help your stepkid's understand how a stepmom can bring positivity to the family, check out Brent's
debut children’s book, Opposititis: A Ridiculous Family Love Story is a silly heartwarming story for 4- to 9-year-olds and their families.
