“This is a great podcast, I love all the parallels and knowledge of tropes and themes that you both bring to the series. Children’s lit, YA and fantasy are all genres close to my heart, I grew up with this series and re-read them at least once a year (especially hoo). I find as I get older that it’s harder to initiate enthusiastic conversations about children’s lit with the people around me, and this is an engaging alternative that reminds me of why I’m passionate about Riordan’s worlds. I like to listen to this podcast as I paint or cook or drive to work, and often experience a secondhand tamping-down-of-spoilers when B asks on-the-nose questions. My only criticism is that I wish it was >1 chapter at a time (unless it was a meaty chapter) so it moves in plot chunks. But maybe I’m just impatient to hear you cover more books, and I do enjoy the episode/chapter titles.”
