“I really like this podcast. I think it brings valuable context to the passages he discusses. Why was there a commentary about abridging in the middle of the book? How can so much time be accounted for by so few individuals? Hundreds of years are explained away by a handful of comments. What happened to all of the kings being named Nephi? Why are there 2 different accounts of getting the records of the Jaredites? Why are the people so surprised finding out about the Jaredites the second time? These things just don’t make sense.
It all starts to come together if you know what’s going on with the translation at the time.”
