Description
It's another episode of "The Guru and The Grasshopper" as Zen Guru Andrew Weiss returns to Rants. This week we'll talk about the situation in Ferguson, Missouri, and what spiritual responses we can embrace. Andrew's early studies of Zen focused early on in the Korean tradition with Zen Master Seung Sahnh and Zen Master Su Bong. In 1989, he met the Vietnamese Zen monk Thich Nhat Hanh, and in 1991, he was ordained a Brother in Thich Nhat Hanh's Order of Interbeing. In 1999, he was ordained by zen priest Claude AnShin Thomas in the White Plum Lineage of Japanese Soto Zen. Andrew is the author of Beginning Mindfulness, a complete short-course in mindfulness practice and spiritual development.
