Synthesizes everything you’ve learned in nursing school into understandable content
I first heard of this podcast from a friend who was starting a new nursing job in the ICU. This is one of my oldest and dearest friends who has been a nurse since about 2005, and I respect her opinions and advice. As soon as I listened to the first episode, I was hooked: from the gravelly voice of the introduction to Sarah’s approachable teaching style, it never disappoints. Sarah has a way of taking complex medical pathologies and turning them into something that nearly anyone could understand. She’s an incredible teacher. More than that, Sarah has a deep humanity and humor that comes through in every episode. She speaks respectfully about patients (no HIPPA violations!), fellow nurses and personnel, and the interns and doctors. I have listened to every episode and I have never heard Sarah speak about anyone or any situation without compassion, understanding, and awe. She is the gold standard for nurses and I am so thankful she has endeavored to share herself with the world. Pass her podcast on to any fellow healthcare providers—the more people who hear Sarah, the better our healthcare system will be.
