Definitely unsupervised learning
Razib is almost intimidatingly bright and well read. He is also a genuinely curious, politely critical podcast host who explores a range of different topics, with expert guests. Some of them are fascinating: the examination of human origins, deep human history, archaeology and anthropology is excellent and the main reason that I follow this podcast. His regular book reviews are always worth checking out. Some of the biology, especially genetics, episodes require some specialist background. The political and culture wars rants are generally a big yawn, unless I suppose you are an alienated conservative academic. I gave this a 3 out of 5 because I only listen to every third episode or so. But most of the episodes that I do choose are worth it.

Consistently interesting guests who cover many subject areas. A good companion to his genetics/history Substack since those posts have such depth that a second look at the topic is often needed.

Razib’s questions and comments ensure an interesting dialogue because he’s fearless and willing to go in directions more timid hosts would fear to...Read full review »
