Description
For over 40 years, the Houston Hillsong family have been publishing books and selling them to their willing congregations as spiritual guides.
Or, you know, giving them away by the thousands so that they could join a bestseller list.
We read those books, we absorbed every word, and they have become our texts. We the cultural Pentecostals and Hillsong alumni view these works as ours, as mere communications between the family members we were told we were, loved forever and part of the vision.
But some of these ancient scrolls have faded from the public domain, and as custodians of our history, our stories, our very culture, we sought to right this wrong. Many of our younger siblings have no access to these Epistles that were freely bestowed on us. Often they don‘t know they exist, cannot find or afford them, or dare not read them. But that‘s about to change.
Reading Hillsong is just that: a reading of the books that made Hillsong, by the apostles of Hillsong, Frank and Hazel, Brian and Bobbie.
Not every narrator is straight out of Goulburn Street class of 79 yet this rich diversity of readers each has their own special bond to the elders of Hillsong, the Assemblies of God,the ACC past and present.
We took the Great Commushun seriously, that we should go out into the world and tell the world about Hillsong, and share the good news that everyone can have a personal relationship with Brian, or Bobbie, Or Frank.
For if these men and women of god said that God Himself inspired these books, then that is a truth that cannot move. And it is urgent, essential that these tomes be shared universally with you all. And now, through the miracle of technology, we can do just that.
Welcome to Reading Hillsong. We hope you will enjoy this historical literary presentation. It is brought to you on the back of more blood, sweat, tears and Amens than could ever be documented and with a mountain of hope.
"Why would God give you the ability to get wealth, if he didn't want you to HAVE ALL THAT MONEY?"
THIS fantastic logic continues on through Chapter 6, but wasn't applied to any other illegal, immoral, or fattening behaviours.
However, when it comes to money, the message is clear: POOR people...
