We begin with news from this past week that gave us a strong jobs report and less reason to expect a near-term interest rate cut. Fed officials are meeting this coming week so we may get a clue about when they may cut rates, but economists believe the strong jobs report will give them reason to hold off on a rate cut since it alleviates some amount of worry about how the high-interest rate environment is impacting company decisions on hiring. And inflation has not yet returns to the Fed’s 2% target...   ...Despite that slight drop in occupancy, RealPage researchers believe the market is balanced due to solid job and population growth.
