“If I could give more stars I would! I have been watching this show virtually from inception, which was about one year ago now. There is a whole backstory as to why Ryan Jespersen who was a celebrated talk show host on a major news conglomerate Corus entertainment is now a podcast star!That is the sordid tale of corporations being controlled by politicians, particularly in Alberta. Having said that, I catch the show on YouTube as often as I can! I am active in the live chat most mornings. This show is about community. We gather in community at 8:30 am until, well until it ends, often blowing past the 2 hour time period if it’s warranted.Ryan and everybody else on the team bring their a game every day. The commitment to excellence is obvious. Real Talk is not about pushing any one narrative. Eg left v right.This show is a team consisting of a number of people but in particular Sarah Hoyles, Samuel G Brooks and of course Ryan Jespersen.They get all the best guests, usually getting them first!! The conversations are wide ranging, honest, stimulating and in some cases life changing. Yes life changing! There is a community of real talkers on the live chat, everyone is welcome… as long as you have something meaningful to share in the comments. This is an active more left-leaning than centre, group of people that are highly highly engaged. This show has the highest rating for engagement of listeners.I look forward to talking with my pals whenever I can. We truly are a community. This show was created in Alberta but it’s a National show as well. I am actually very grateful that Corus entertainment group was so foolish as to let this gem of a human being walk away. I am grateful because, as mentioned, this show has changed lives for the better, and I am one of them! There is cussing allowed and it always adds to the conversation, earmuffs kids LOL. This show elevates conversation. The show is filled with compassion, concern and real honest to God caring. Come join us in community every morning at 8:30!
