Perfect for adulting
I was traveling with my mom recently and forced her to listen to my podcasts. I put on the Mary Laura Philpott episode of Real Talk Radio. I was nervous because if my mom didn’t like it, I couldn’t stop white-knuckling the wheel while driving on the narrow European streets to change podcasts so we would be stuck. The episode open with travel tips which were wonderful and my mom fell mostly silent while listening, other than a few comments here or there. At the end, I asked her if she liked it. She said it was her favorite of all the podcasts we had listened to. Real Talk Radio delivers on the promise of honest conversations without agendas. It feels like a Sex and the City brunch with your closest friends but with a broader group of topics. I wish my friends and I could sit and talk about our money troubles or feeling like a fraud but we don’t. Nicole is an excellent interviewer, allowing a person to speak freely but also asking insightful questions that invite more/in-depth answers and draws the interviewee out of their shell. TLDR version: this podcast can be enjoyed by everyone who needs some friends. Perfect for knowing the truth about adultung (we’re all just doing the best we can!)

I love this podcast. Nicole is honest and not afraid to have real talk. I like the way she goes deep with her guests and talks about the things that no one ever talks about. This podcast always leaves me feeling inspired to make positive changes in my life and to live more authentically.
