“I really liked Michael’s show when I first discovered it about two years ago; he did a great job explaining current events in the Church and grounding them in historical context, which helped me avoid swinging too far in one direction or another during a time of confusion in the Church. However, most of his shows in the recent past - and his Twitter/X feed - have all been about “gotchas” towards other Catholics’ hot takes, and it has devolved into high school girl drama between different Catholic podcasters, which I really don’t appreciate. Dude who cares if people nitpick your approach; if you’re doing what’s right it will show, you don’t need to smear others publicly, which now makes me wonder if this has been all about creating a name and a brand all along. It’s a shame.”
