“First off, I’m definitely a fan of WLC. I’ve gone to see him speak in many different venues and respect how he keeps his composure. I admire his confidence in the face of personal attacks, and that he isn’t timid in the midst of his work. I’ve found him to be consistent across the board and in addition to intellectually stimulating (and sometimes over my head) conversations on philosophy from a Christian perspective, he is a great model for how to be when engaging in debate. I’ve looked to Craig as a model for how to engage with people who disagree and not to tale it personally (or at least do my best to stick to the arguments and not detract into fallacies).
Bill has enough differentiation to disagree and be disagreed with and still remain calm. The co-host, Kevin, on the other hand, seems to be bothered by disagreements and hostility. That’s fine for him to be that way, but it distracts from the attitude Bill brings to the show. It can get a little “raw-raw,” which is also okay… It’s just that I get enough of that from so many Christians that it’s nice that Bill tries to at least keep the conversation sterile. Can’t we just accept that other people chose to do what they will and that doesn’t mean we have to be outraged by it? This perspective makes everything out to be a big deal when people are just being like mean kindergarten kids on the internet. In his contributions, Kevin just seems to be playing the same game as the people he gets flustered by.
That would be my only critique. Otherwise, this is only place to find conversation of this level from a Christian perspective. There’s Unbelievable, Stand to Reason, and Reasons to Believe, but Reasonable Faith is still the most consistently, academically rigorous and worth a listen.”
