“Without doubt one of the finest ways to learn about classical music and extend your library. Many times over the years BAL has introduced me to a piece of music that has become a firm favourite, or has rekindled my interest in and love for a piece I haven’t listened to for some time. I am yet to be entirely convinced that the 2-person version of BAL works as well as the old solo format as I feel there is less detail in the programme now (and fewer “classic” interpretations are discussed) but this is still absolutely required listening.”
