Description
The home of everyone from the world’s strangest strongmen, everyday workers who plan their year around it, and the best DJ and performers in the world - this is a backstage pass to the unique Boomtown.
The festival with the Labyrinthian storyline contains elements of Halloween and ‘Stranger Things’ in the heart of a British summer with production to blow all of your sense - creating much more than your usual event.
In this episode, Jaguar headed to the 11th Chapter, during a weekend where the weather cancelled a number of other festivals across the weekend - but Boomtown carried on strong. She especially looks at their Green Mission - an ambition to flip the throwaway mentality on its head, by eliminating single use packaging, innovative initiatives with tents and many other ideas which led to a field of people chanting ‘recycling, recycling, recycling’.
Find out how the production and booking staff work, what the DJs think of the event and why the punters love it as we go Access All Areas.
Featuring interviews with Eats Everything, Kings of the Rollers, Alborosie, High Contrast and Mella Dee.
