“So far my absolute favorite episode is Marsha P Johnson. She’s so amazing! I’m a black/native trans bi man and it is *wow*. I am glad I’m living in this era. It makes me wanna lift up my trans sisters even more.
I also love how slavery as an institution is being criticized. I’m a history major and I know whole kingdoms in Africa were based on the slave trade. You know how it worked in Africa up until Europeans institutionalized it? It worked like indentured servitude.
I do wish that explanation was gone into more for people who wanna complain that slavery in America is told as “black good, white bad.” but let em complain.
Anyway, I’ve been listening to it at work and it makes the days go by faster.”
