Nasty and pervasive racism
White people are held to a higher standard than Blacks and historical figures are judged by modern standards. I was hoping to learn about slavery in Africa or perhaps how Black enslavers treated their slaves here and abroad. But this is constant propaganda, Blacks are victims and Whites are evil. Evidence to the contrary is ignored. Slavery was a normal practice in Africa for thousands of years (and only stopped through British intervention) yet its practice in America is routinely criticised and only when the owner is White. Blacks owning Blacks is normal. Why the double standard? No one will talk about it. The premise of this podcast seems false. Yet it is well written and educational propaganda. …. …. …. To OnlineProfessor, Ive heard about slavery’s atrocities all my life. But, why did it (apparently) use to work so well? Why was it practiced in Africa for thousands of years before Whites showed up? And Why is the majority of African and Black history so censored?…. …… Onlineprofessor, I will take your point: slavery is bad and caused atrocities. (Certainly Americans should not have appropriated African culture in this way.). And Slavery would be going on still amongst Africans if concerned Europeans did not intervene. Did I get that right?
