Autin, good sir, you called me out...
...and yes, you are absolutely right. As you mentioned at the end of your lastest podcast yesterday, "Our Favorite Shakespeares", to please submit a review on iTunes because "you know you hear me say this every week and you always plan on doing it but you haven't yet", I will certainly own up to being one of those listeners who needed to hear this. Being a fan of Shakespeare Abridged, I was thrilled to discover this podcast in October of last year, and I haven't missed a single episode since subscribing. Any fan of theatre can find something to enjoy while listening to this podcast. It's always relevent to the current theatre scene, it gives insights into not only the happenings of The Reduced Shakespeare Company themselves, now and throughout the years, but they also dedicate a number of podcasts to people they know who are involved in other theatres throughout the world. Every episode maintains a light and fun atmosphere, even while discussing serious issues, such as theatre politics (such as the Actor's Equity controversity of setting a minimum wage for professional actors discussed not too long ago)...I don't think there has been a single episode I've listened to where I didn't find myself laughing aloud at least once. But above all, I'd have to say that what I love the most about listening every week is how welcoming Austin is as a host. He is brilliant at making his audience feel as though they are right there and are a part of every discussion, and as a listener, I truly appreciate that. Keep of the great work, RSC, and I hope you get a chance to come to Wisconsin sometime soon so I can personally see you guys in action!
