“Overall, I really love the concept of this podcast. A lot of these topics I have followed, and I greatly enjoy the deep dive into social media extravagances. I find both the hosts very
Invested in the episodes and well spoken, but over the last several podcasts, I have just noticed some hypocritical comments and a general mismatch in their viewpoints and ethics. Just getting through the diet Prada episode, and they were focusing on ethics of journalism and how it would be important if you are not in the field to self regulate and be focused on the ethics of journalism, and how those who are not journalist should not be functioning as such. However, through several of their podcast episodes, I have listened to them do “arm chair psychology.” As a psychologist myself, I find this very worrisome as diagnosing and speaking on someone’s mental health can be extremely damaging, and it is not innocuous at all. I would just caution the hosts to really be thoughtful about speaking about someone’s mental health, and casually diagnosing them with a personality disorder, because if you are not qualified you really shouldn’t be speaking about that. I hope that they do continue to make more episodes, I would just like to see them have more consistency in their ethical viewpoints.”
