For me, the experience is equal parts professional jealousy (why didn’t I start a football culture mag in 2914, so I could launch a spin-off podcast 9 years later?), sepia-tinged boyhood nostalgia, football wanderlust, belly laughs, and tear-jerking adulation of the cultural phenomenon that is football.
In fact, this podcast almost single-handedly makes up for all the reasons I need to be reminded why I love football in the first place! And that is no mean feat.”
