It’s just really, really bloody good.
Quite comfortably the best podcast I have ever listened to. Deal with it Louis Theroux. Deal with James Acaster. It’s a genuine highlight of my week. It kept me sane after moving to Plymouth (the bleakest place on Earth) and whilst having no friends to talk to about football, it allowed me an hour of normality every week where I felt like I was sat, talking blissful wham with my mates in the pub. Thankfully I’m back up North now and I’ve realised that I probably prefer listening to the podcast over speaking to my real life friends about football. So, 5 stars to the Benevolent Dictator, Tank Man, the Gooser and the Goblin for basically overtaking my decade-spanning friendships. I absolutely could not recommend this podcast more, even my Dad listens to it and he has never once listened to a podcast prior to this. It’s just really, really bloody good.

Since discovering this through the mag, I’ve been binge-listening to all the past episodes. It’s a belter of a pod. Always funny, shines a light on stuff around the world that you might not have known about, but does so in an accessible way.

It’s irreverent, it’s funny, it’s emotional at times and most of all it’s fun. It reminds me of...Read full review »

Just the perfect mix of incredibly knowledgable, incredibly likeable, and incredibly passionate people coming together to make a podcast about the minutiae of football culture.
