GREAT BEGINNING
A show reviewing (so far) the best of the past, and perhaps the worst as well, but all with a great sense of humor. The Buck Rogers episode that serves as the first episode is a wonderful primer to the television series, beginning with the pilot movie, however the hosts are a little young to remember that Buck Rogers in the 25th Century originated long before television, back in 1926 as a novel and later, in 1929, as a comic strip. So, while the hosts are essentially correct in their theory that George Lucas might have been inspired by Buck, it was the Republic Serials and the comics of his youth and not the cheesier teevee version that inspired him. (Clever point about Ardala and Amidala, by the way.) Thanks for the fine conversation in this show and I hope you continue to keep up the geekery, here and with Atomic Trivia War 9000. I am the audience and I am listening.
